As expected, the $99.99 console hit the market on Tuesday at Best Buy, GameStop, and Target. The Android-based console is also available at Amazon. However, as of this writing, Ouya is already sold out on Amazon and GameStop. It is still available online at Best Buy and Target.

Congrats to Ouya to selling out at Amazon, and Gamestop after just launching a few hours a go.

I wonder if the Ouya sells more consoles and controllers than the Xbox One and other consoles once a lot of Ouya owners use Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram Google Plus, Reddit, and other social networks to talk about Ouya console, and tell the non-savvy gaming news community about the Ouya.

One of the advantage the Ouya community has is that most of its fans are social networking users since people who use Kickstarter ,which is also a social network for funding things, most likely have multiple active social networking accounts, a blog, website and forum, so they can spread news very quicker on Twitter, YouTube, and other social sites compared toTV commercials, and Magazine ads which can take a long time to spread news since many people don't watch TV commercials because of DVRs, and fewer people read magazines these days. Most paid online ads are also ignored, or blocked with ad-blockers on web browsers.

There is always risk in backing, and pre-ordering things online before it is release which does not gaurantee that you get something quickly since the factory might be slow at making so many consoles, the mail is slower now that Postal mail is almost bankrupt in many countries like the US which means slow delivery of packages, and the government now goes through people's packages to make sure they don't contain drugs, guns, and illegal items which also make the mail slow.

I read comments and seen video that there are also many people who backed the Ouya who are receiving them.

I read it is only in the thousands out of 63,416 backers who did not get their console yet. Some of the comments on blogs maybe from Trolls and Other Console fanboys who never bought an Ouya, but claim they did to make Ouya look bad online.

It is expected a small percentage did not get their console in time because of slow mail delievery from China. Plus, the Ouya is made and shipped from China, so I think it is mainly the Chinese's fault with shipping and making consoles fast enough for all backers to get in time. The mail these days is very slow when shipping items from China. Whenever I order anything from China, it takes almost a month or more to arrive to my mailbox, but I buy Chinese electronics and stuff  because they are cheaper to buy.

I read they use DHL shipping, and a lot of people say DHL shipping isn't really good, but I think if Ouya use a better delievery service, the Ouya would cost a lot more to ship because shipping boxes from Asia is expensive.

I kind of like the look of the silver Ouya's medium-size controller more than the bulky Xbox One controller, and smaller PS4 round handle bar controller. Plus, the joysticks don't have holes in them which is good for people who are used to joysticks on the PS1-PS3 which don't have borders/holes.

The touchpad on the Ouya's controller is flat against the rest of the controller compared to the PS4 touchpad which sticks out more from the controller, and has a speaker, and share button which I don't find useful.

The Ouya has Bluetooth, so I bet the PS3 controller, or Wiimote and nonchuck controller might work if someone has an App for it.

Maybe even current made for Google Android controllers like the Moga Pro Bluetooth controller would work with the Ouya.

I am tempted to get one. It seems like a pretty cool idea, although the hardware is a bit outdated as it only has a snapdragon S3, but I guess for a $100 system there isn't much you can complain for. I am thinking about picking up one just for all of the ROMS you could put on it, it would be awesome to play a lot of older games on it without having to fumble around moving your computer to hookup to a TV.

Also from what I hear MadKatz and other companies alike could be jumping onto the android console market, so it should be cool to see how it all plays out.

I read at http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/05/got-a-screwdriver-then-the-ouya-is-relatively-easy-to-repair/ the Ouya is easy to take apart, and fix yourself compared to other consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360, so I bet the controllers are pretty easy to take apart, and if there are thirdparty shell/cases for the Ouya controller, it probably be easy to take the parts from the Ouya controller, and screw them onto the new controller shell.

I bet making a controller case out of wood won't be too hard if you know how to make stuff with wood.

both a good and bad thing, since it means not much is running under the hood.

As long as the games' gameplay, characters, and plot are fun, people will enjoy the games, and look pass the limitation of the device, or not care.

Minecraft, Tetris, and Starcraft which does not have the best graphics like Crysis which has great graphics. But, Minecraft, Tetris, and Starcraft have a huge fanbase.

Gamers who want a lot of things under the hood will buy a Gaming PC or Laptop.

Has anybody heard anything about an Australian retail release?
I think you can buy one at Ouya's online store, and have it shipped to Australia. But, I only know that the Ouya is released in the US, Canada, UK, and other countries.

I read some Gamestops, Bestbuys, Targets, and Walmarts in the US are selling Ouya console, and controllers, but I'm guesing the Ouya still need to make and send a lot of game consoles, and controllers to backers, and people who pre-order it after Kickstarter before they have enough consoles to ship to other countries.

I believe in the UK Ouya are selling at a store called GAME.

I read reviews the Ouya is good for finding alternative, homebrew, indie, and non-mainstream games. Plus, all games are free to try with a Demo/trial before you decide to buy.
