Speaking at the South By Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin, Texas, Ouya CEO Julie Uhrman said that the company hopes to add support for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon streaming video services.

"Ouya is built on Android, which means in addition to games we are going to have content," Uhrman said. "We will have streaming video content."

Additionally, Uhrman said that the company will partner with major game studios to help bring high-profile titles to the console.

Cool, the Ouya is a streaming settop box combined with a $99 game console.

The Ouya looks more attractive to Gamers than Roku, Boxxee, and GoogleTV which also cost $99 or more, but it only can watch and listen to streaming video, music, and podcasts on a TV, and a few basic features but the Ouya has a real controller instead of a remote which can also be used for playing games.

I wonder who are the major game studios. I just read that Ouya partner with SquareEnix, Namco Bandai, Mojang, and Onlive. Could there be more?

Minecraft/Mojang also joined. Minecraft is not as big as SquareEnix, and Namco, but it is well known online, and with indie gamers.

Onlive the cloud gaming company also will make their Android Onlive app compatible with Ouya, so if you have a fast internet connection, and have unlimited data or a lot of data for your bandwidth cap, you can use the Ouya to game online via Onlive which has a large collection of PC games which you can stream online to PC, Mac, Android, and Ouya.

Onlive have an Android App in Google Play, so it will work as well as the Android App, and all you need is a fast connection to use Onlive because Onlive is less dependant on specs.

Well the connection also kinda depends on the specs, so that could also affect it.

Ouya has a wired network connection, and 802.11N wireless signal which is currently the fastest popular wireless signal which is150Mbps-300MBps and higher, so as long as your home internet uses faster broadband internet like Cable, DSL, Fibre, and other faster internet connection Onlive should perform similar to other devices which Onlive supports.

Hopefully, I know some Chinese tablets that promise the same speed but fail to do so.
