Kotaku has reported that in a roundtable discussion they confirmed that pac-man will be playable.

Well I figured Pac-Man would be announced but not until the very last of the new characters because we all know that Pac-Man was Namco's original baby.
The fact that  Mr. Game and Watch was at the end of the trailer kind of has me thinking they might involve him again in some way.

If they were smart they would add a Soul Calibur character. I mean Link got to venture into that realm. Why not Nightmare?
 
So we have Megaman, Mario, Pac-Man and Sonic all in one game? All the nostalgic gaming heroes beating the crap out of each other, definitely can only be found in a game as crazy as Smash Bros. :D
 
I like of like the fact that Pac-man is in the game, but I hope that Game and Watch is in it as well. I had countless adventures playing Game and Watch though-out the old smash bros (Melee, Brawl, Project M) and I would love to see him come back soon. :blush:
 
Well, was definitely not expecting that LOL. Hopefully that appearance at the end is confirmation of game and watch. Looks like smash bros is just getting better and better with every announcement.
