It's too bad that Panasonic is no longer making Smartphones.

I kind of feel in the future there would be mainly two smartphone brands which is Apple, Samsung, and Other Branded Smartphone category which is full of cheap Chinese branded Smartphones by ZTE, Hisense, etc and cheap scrappy brands like Coby and Archos which are unknown to most people except for people  who shop for electronics by searching for electronics to buy at Amazon Marketplace, and eBay for the cheapest prices.

I'm with Black Angel.

Panasonic was making phones? That was their problem, no one knew it. I'm not going to buy a phone I don't even know exist. They should have tried better marketing first.

never knew that made a phone, must not have spent much in the advertising department.

I agree with DS that they must have not spent much on advertising the phone, or just thought "If you build it, they will come" which only works for very big brands which already spent a lot on Ads in the past, or brands which promise lots of free stuff like Ouya which promise "free to try" games, and free emulators, or very cheap stuff like eBay where you can buy a Used game for $10 sometimes.

If this was their phone.. I can understand why they are pulling out of this..

It had a retractable antenna..

I mean really, are we still in 1999?

And I wouldn't cite the lack of advertising as a factor, there are well known companies and brands out there that really don't need to advertise.. Costco is one of them..
