PlayStation Paypal banning PSN users?

If there is one thing I can't recommend enough by now, its that you should not link any payment source to your PlayStation account!

A few days ago, an issue came about between paypal and Sony's network leading to over 1,000 accounts being ban. For some unknown reason, PayPal initiated a charge back on thousands of PSN accounts (mostly located in the UK but some reports in the states). This charge back causes these users to be treated by PSN as if they owe Sony money, which results in a temporary ban until the matter is resolved. Those who are affected will receive an email from Sony with instructions on what to do.

Not been effected myself but haven't used PayPal on PS4 for a long while. Sure it will all be sorted out.

I think my PayPal has been linked to my Sony account, I can't remember to be honest. Luckily, I don't think I've been affected by this because I haven't received an email and I've been able to play online as usual

Yeah but to auto-chargeback without permission? That's the first time I've heard about this.
