Let the ultimate war of games begin! I'm being evil and not putting a "both" option to enforce the fact that you must choose one or the other!

For me, uh... well PC gaming is good in the fact that you can practically "build" your own console and customise it, and the games are quite diverse and you get quite a lot of good and innovative games you wouldn't find on a console. Plus, most can be free or relatively cheap.

Console gaming on the other hand is just so much more captivating due to the television screen I'm playing it on. I guess I could a PC up to a huge TV monitor but I'm not that tech savvy (though I'm sure it's relatively easy to set up). The benefit consoles have of course, are the franchises, such as Mario and so on, that I love and can't find anywhere else. Fan games just don't suffice on a PC.

So at the end of the day, I'd say I'm a born and bred console gaming person, though I have made a slight shift to PC gaming ever so slightly. So for that reason, I'm going with consoles.

Why is there no "Both" option?

If I had to chose, PC gaming, my love for Nintendo is outmatched by my love for MMO's.

EDIT: Nvm, didn't read the OP.

You could very easily connect a computer to a TV screen, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do it.

And the only, sole reason to buy a console is for the exclusives (Mostly Nintendo, since Sony/Micro have most games on PC too)

Topic should be called Nintendo consoles vs PC.

Why? Cause like Moclon mention:

(Mostly Nintendo, since Sony/Micro have most games on PC too)

Most games (at least the ones that do matter) are already available on PC and with much more content most of the times.

I'm gonna go with consoles. I am a console purist of sorts. I just about refuse to play on PC's for more reason than one, but the biggest would be using the keyboard. I only really like RPG's on the PC, but most of the RPG's I've seen use a hot bar that requires keyboard use. I'm am one of those people who never learned how to type properly in school, and now I'm finding it impossible to learn. The only key whose location I know by heart is the Backspace key.

And I've grown up playing on consoles, I love them dearly... Especially Nintendo consoles. And it seems the consoles are always pitted against PC's in debates, so I have become polarized to "Console good, PC bad" type of logic.

I honestly can't see any advantages consoles have over PC gaming other than console exclusives. For those of you who hate keyboards, just buy a controller.

They both have their ups and down.s. I like em both, though I m primarily a handheld/console gamer..I'd play more pc games with better connectivity. I'm neutral on the subject.

Because I'm deliciously evil. Plus it's fun to see where everyone stands.

But then it comes down to the question of whether you buy it for the PlayStation/Xbox or get it for PC, so the topic title's still valid.

^ That is pretty much everything I was going to say. (okay, except for bold line)

I'm for consoles yo. Just don't like playing on the computer as much, I use the computer for about everything. Just not my games.....

I prefer PC over console. I grew up playing both; however, PC games dominated my life after I found the beauty and joy of customizing my own computer to have kick ass graphics.

If I,m not mistaken most of the complains about PC gaming is the controller, BUT, with the PS360 you can hook their controllers to the PC and use them. Also connecting the PC to today's HD Tvs is an easy task.

That is another Plus on the PC side. Every generation we have to buy a whole new console and while PC owners just need to upgrade theirs. Sure there is a limit on how much you can upgrade before having to invest in a new one, but by the time that happens you will be ahead of the current gen console again.

SO, to sum it all, it will always come down to Nintendo and PS360 lazy owners over PC. :p

Ya'll fools! PC gaming has a very wide range for gaming, and they're relatively cheap too. You can often get a hell of a lot out of one game on the PC and the online is extremely easy to set up.

Console is just a dumbed-down version of PC gaming, and inferior to it in every way.

PC gaming wins on the battlefield of Dev!

BOTH.

I play most games on my PC, but I also have Nintendo consoles for their juicy exclusives. So there.

I checked PC on the poll because that's where I play most games, but I still definitely use consoles.

Why would I -ever- buy a game for the PS3/360, if I can get it for the PC?
No one will, doesn't make sense.

PC's have better graphics and more content, most of the time.

I'm sure if I was a graphics junky, I'd play PC games, but my consoles perform well enough to please me. I didn't buy the Wii U for the HD graphics, I bought it for the fun, 5 player asymmetric gameplay that isn't available (or at least not commonly) on a PC. Also, I enjoy playing games in the same room as my friends (real life friends that I know, not people online who I've never seen in person). I have never seen a really good split-screen PC game... not sayin' they don't exist. I think my love for truly social gaming is the reason why I've remained a Nintendo fan throughout all of these years where more powerful machines are available. Other companies have taken out social gaming quietly, like an NPC in a Metal Gear Solid stealth op.

Even though I am a PC gamer I still own a 360. If you ask why, not all of my friends have the ability to own great computers that will allow them to meet certain system specs.; therefore, I used to buy some games (such as COD, Halo, etc) for the 360 so I can play my favorite titles with my friends.

Honestly...PC games are just crap...ask me about the nerds making challenge lobby's on my MW3

So you're generalizing all PC games based on a muliplayer mode from one game? That's very idiotic. The same thing can be said for console games. Some of the console games have really crappy multiplayer as well. And I do not understand "...nerds making challenge lobby's on my MW3...". Do explain. However, even if you explain that part of the sentence, your reasoning for why PC games are crap is still idiotic.

Definitely a PC fan, but until I can build my ultimate gaming rig I'll be sticking to console gaming for the near future. Still, I did whince in pain when the framerate dropped to 10 FPS during a chase scene in Assassin's Creed 3. Was hard to stomach coming fresh off playing Assassin's Creed 2 on my laptop at 1080p, 60 FPS, and maxed graphical settings. I think I'll stick to buying just exclusives on consoles from now on.

Already getting hyped for the new Zelda. Nintendo always gets the best out of their system so I'm excited to see what they come up with!

PS: posting from my Wii U

OBVIOUSLY, MW3 = All PC games ever made.

If you're getting a PC just to play shooters, anyways, you're better off with a PS3.

way to level 80 and gain tons of stuff that you should be earning, honestly, the people who make challenge lobbys are nerds that use computers to hack. Get it now?
