So many predictions were pretty close and many were completely off while a lot were somewhat right. It's easy to see how off even the best predictions of the future are. People just couldn't predict the invention of the computer and that led to the course of technology to diverge so significantly. The predictions were spot on for 1) We'd use all new inventions for war and 2) We'd look to reduce labour. Which are pretty fair conclusions.
 
They just have to say the world is screwed and they be right.

I agree with the predictions as well. People don't realize when we invent something new, more than not, it started as a "war project". Of course some of these are simple items. Here's a link people may like:

We are saying that now because we've seen how screwed up it can become. Quite sad!
