Today, publisher Atlus announced plans to bring Persona 4 Arena to the United States. Previously titled Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, this 2D fighter was teased last week by Atlus. Persona 4 Arena features characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4 -- popular Japanese role-playing games with an eccentric sense of style and even wilder narrative themes.
The well-known developers at ARC System Works worked with Atlus in the development of Persona 4 Arena. It features hand-drawn, HD character sprites and an original fighting game engine.
Atlus Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tim Pivnicny comments: "The Persona series has had tremendous success in North America, and Persona 4 in particular opened the series up to wider audiences than ever before. Now we're looking to expand Persona even further by teaming up with a very strong partner, ARC System Works, to move the franchise outside of the RPG genre and develop its potential in new and exciting ways."
Persona 4 Arena launches in the United States this summer for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

the game looks good, but I'm not dropping $60 for a game that has a few fighters.
