Atlus dropped a bit of unfortunate news today regarding the downloadable release of the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona remake for PSP; the PSN version of the game -- originally planned to launch simultaneously with the UMD edition -- won't be available until a little over a week after its retail counterpart.
On September 22, Persona fans will still be able to purchase the game on UMD for the same price as the digital release, and it'll include a two-disc soundtrack for no additional cost. Those of us who would prefer the PlayStation Network download will have to hold off until Thursday, October 1.
The publisher didn't specify why exactly the downloadable version of Persona was pushed back, but this delay -- coupled with the no-extra-charge retail bonuses -- could devalue the game's digital release considerably in the eyes of consumers. Do you plan on waiting nine days for Persona on PSN, or will you suck it up and hit your local gaming store on September 22?

your better off going to the store and buy the UMD.
