Nintendo announced three Pikmin short films created by legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto are available for purchase.
The three CG-animated shorts, titled The Night Juicer, Treasures In A Bottle and Occupational Hazards can be purchased as a collection on the Wii U or 3DS eShop for $4.99 USD. The 3DS version supports stereoscopic 3D, while the Wii U version is available in full high-definition. Video footage Miyamoto created using Flipnote Studio for Nintendo DSi is also included with the films.
Nintendo clarified to IGN that the film collections are console-specific, meaning if you purchase the 3DS version you don’t automatically own it on Wii U.
