Well, honestly, it's kinda disappointing for me. It's a sweet story but a piano, no one can play? Like seriously? I don't like that concept at all. They could have said, only one could produce some sort of sound...that would have been okay but this is really disappointing for me. I kinda feel sorry for amamiya. I really hope he could surpass kai someday but loving his own piano music.
 
It's actually a pretty common concept, usually dealing with some kind of dark background or devilish undertaking. I'm guessing they didn't do well in saying why no one can play the piano.

Well it's just a slice of Life anime movie, as far as I know. So, the non-existent explanation is annoying
