Naoki Yoshida, producer for the MMO Final Fantasy XIV by Square Enix has written a letter on the Square Enix FFXIV forums addressed to fans, outlining grand sweeping changes for the game around summertime. It’s a huge list of changes and fans will not want to miss reading it for themselves, but here’s a summary.
The battle system will strive to increase reward and reduce monotony. Players will be rewarded for "playing their character’s role to perfection," and penalized for "only having half their heart in the battle." Revisions to the Armory system and battle algorithms will be the main focus (in the form of an Auto-Attack feature.)
There are still no plans to charge a subscription fee for the service until a fully developed plan is in place.

can these changes still save the game?
