Big fan of Death Note (at least the first half) and figured I check out a series from the same creator. Overall, it was pretty good, kept to a lot of the good/evil wills Death Note was known for, but I felt like the series was rushed and a lot of things could have expanded on better.
I did see Death Note, but this looks much more stylistic in its approach rather than being fully based on the logic of "I kill because there are bad people and nothing is being done about it." Instead, it sounds like a fight to survive like Devil Survivor Record Breaker. Better action scenes in this than that animation, and the endgame might be different, but it still gives the proper existential life crisis to boot.
