During Sony's PlayStation event in New York City today, Sony and Gaikai officials announced that remote play will be a huge part of the PlayStation 4 ecosystem. Specifically, Sony revealed that the PlayStation Vita can be used to play PlayStation 4 games on the go.
Sony hopes to make every PlayStation 4 game playable remotely on Vita, and potentially even other devices. In these cases the PlayStation 4 becomes a server and the device (say, for example, a PlayStation Vita) becomes the client. A live demonstration of this technology was shown during the conference, with the newly announced PS4 game Knack running on a Vita, on-stage.
