Playstation 4 Firmware Update 1.62

Sony is keeping their Playstation 4 up to date of late as today they have released firmware 1.62 for the PS4.

 

This update is about 336 MB in size and focuses on "operation quality during use of some PlayStation 4 format software has been improved." Sony explains that this update simply improves the "image quality for some applications." So nothing major for updates on this firmware.

Unlike the coming firmware update... which will:

• add an enhanced video editor.
• remove HDCP (allowing any video to be captured via HDMI)... just like they promised they would.
• save shared video to USB
• save longer clips of gameplay (exact length not specified).
• allow twitch broadcasts from PS4 to be archived.
