Sony's game rental service PlayStation Now will launch a subscription plan starting on January 13. The service will offer over 100 PlayStation 3 games at launch for PlayStation 4 consoles. Other PlayStation Now devices will gain access to the service in the future. Users can choose between paying US$19.99 per month or US$44.99 every three months.

A special PlayStation Now theme will be available this month. Users who download the theme before January 31 will be entered to win a one-year subscription to PlayStation Now.

Probably not me.

I don't care for game streaming like that. Plus I'm kind of worried that if this becomes successful it may influence Sony to push towards all games being streamed (doing away with physical and/or digital copies altogether). And I'm not interested in a future where I don't own anything, I'm only renting from them and am totally dependant on their internet to play.
I mean look at this Christmas... their servers were down due to DDoS. Imagine in the future it does go all streaming and you've unwrapped your shiny new PS6 only to find out the servers are down so you can't play. You have no idea how long it'll take them to fix things. But until they do, you've got an expensive paperweight because all the features are conditional to their servers being operational and capable of handling your requests.

I agree, I don't want my stuff streamed just for the simple fact is you lose quality on streaming, look at any show stream vs downloaded/disc playing and there is a big difference.

Once internet is like running water utilities this is fine, but even something like that is rare in some parts of the world.
