Last year I reported back around CES that Sony was releasing the Vita TV for Japan that allowed them to play Vita games on the tv screen. Tonight at Sony's E3 conference they have finally confirmed that the Vita TV dubbed Playstation TV will be coming to U.S., Canada, and Europe this fall for $99 USD.

There will also be a special bundle which includes Dual Shock 3 controller, an 8GB memory card, an HDMI cable, and a copy of The Lego Movie game for $139 USD.

I feel the Amazon Fire TV is a better deal since you can use your own wireless Bluetooth Controller, or buy the $40 Amazon official game controller. Most of the games also cost $1-5, and there are free games for the Amazon Fire TV.

That maybe, but it doesn't have any of the Vita great hits.
I bet Sony Vita game makers would eventually have to port some of the Vita Great hits to other small consoles like the Amazon Fire TV and Android TV consoles  if Vita game makers wants as many people to buy, and play their games as possible.

The Amazon Fire TV may have more frequent game releases for it in the future if Amazon takes gaming seriously by attracting more game makers to make games for the Fire TV because the Fire TV may have more active gaming community who own it than the Vita which does not seem to have a very active community compared to Nintendo, and mobile gaming on Apple iOS and Google Android.

I honestly don't see the point. If you already have a PS4 or Xbone are you really going to want to play Vita games on your TV? The only thing I think they are thinking is there going to sell it to the people who cant afford a PS4. Other wise if you wanted to play handheld games you would already own a Vita.

I think a lot of people prefer playing games even handheld games on the a bigger screen like a TV, and computer monitor because it is more comfortable to stare at a bigger screen for hours, and bigger screens are also more realistic, and has better sound from loader speakers on a TV.

The success of the Ouya raising 8.6 million dollars from 63416 people proves that there are people who want a small console to play games on.

Vita TV, and Ouya consoles are also easy to carry around in a small bag, so you can easily bring it to a friend's house to play games on their TV.

The Vita has some pretty good graphics, and sound, so Vita games should look pretty good on the TV.

I bet there will also be modders/makers like Ben Hecks, or Controller makers like Nyko, and MadCatz which will make a protective case with a built-in 7-10 inch screen for the Vita TV to turn it into a bigger hand held like the Wikipad, Nvidia Shield, and Archos Gamepad to play the Vita TV on a 7-10 inch screen with a PS3 controller, or third party controller built-into a case.

A $99 TV console which can play 3D high quality games on a TV is very exciting for many people like the people who backed the Ouya in hopes of getting a $99 console which can play better Android games like The Bards Tale, Muffin Knight, and emulated games for the Nintendo 64, PS1, PS2, SNES, and Dreamcasts on.

yes.

Why play on a tiny screen when I can get the image on a bigger screen?
I will one up you, why play a game with crap graphics? When the PS4 and Xbone blow it out of the water. The only reason I can see playing a hand held game is exactly what its made for. Gaming on the go, and to top it off 90% of the vita games are pure crap.
