Playstation Two-Day Event

Sony has announced PlayStation Experience, a two-day event December 6-7 in Las Vegas, NV. The community event will immerse fans in everything PlayStation, from panels to hands-on gaming, all under the banner of PlayStation.

Additionally, event attendees will have an exclusive look at the upcoming 2015 PlayStation lineup. Of course, normal convention perks will apply, with free swag to stuff into bags and exclusive collectibles for purchase from game studios on the floor. There is no official word on whether or not snacks will be available, but it seems like a safe bet.

On October 20, Sony will announce details on how excited fans (who are 18+) can get their hands on one- or two-day passes, with the one-day passes selling for $50 USD and the two-day passes coming in at $90 USD.

Ostensibly the event is designed to take place at the end of this year to warm everyone up to the upcoming 20 year anniversary of the venerable PlayStation brand. The event's venue hasn't been announced, but with no shortage of convention spaces in Las Vegas, and the large following of fans of the PlayStation brand, Sony promises the venue is big.

There is rumored to be some pretty big game announcements. I doubt it to be honest but it would be cool to get hyped going into Christmas.

Just seems like the wrong time to do it for me. Unless they want to make the event huge. I just see further development/trailers on announced titles.
