Pet simulation games have proven to be a popular genre in the past, and now PlayStation Vita will have a flagship pet sim of its own with the newly announced PlayStation Vita Pets.
Vita Pets will include all of the obligatory features for a pet sim: you'll be able to bathe, dress up, train, feed, walk, and teach tricks to your dog, of which there are four different types. Each of these dogs has its own traits, personality, and distinctive voice -- the dogs are capable of speaking to the player, commenting on what you're doing, the sort of clothing you've put on them, and so on.
Beyond the basic activities you can engage in with your dog, you'll also be able to go out on adventures, solving puzzles and exploring areas like forests, mines, graveyards, and, eventually, a castle.
