Last night Plex sent out emails notifying many of its customers that a serious security breach may have resulted in account information getting into the wrong hands. Plex stated that “all account passwords that could have been accessed were hashed and secured in accordance with best practices.” Which, while comforting, still should be followed by you adhering to best practices, which means signing out of all current instances and changing your passwords.

Hopefully, Plex can figure out how to prevent future hacks from happening again, and most Plex users changed their passwords for other accounts which use the same username and password.

I’m trying to delete my account since I haven’t used it in years, but it won’t let me delete it waht should I do!?

Never used it but would be fun to use if I found the time and why would anyone want to know what you watch on there anyways? I would assume you can pay for stuff with that account?

There’s a few extra bells and whistles, like access to live TV or being able to save media to your devices for offline use.

I don’t pay for it.
