Pokémon the Origin, New Pokemon Anime Announced

Pokémon the Origin takes place in the fictional Kanto region where the Pokémon researcher Prof. Oak gifts the young Red his first Pokémon partner a charmander and gives him the task of completing the Pokédex. At the same time, Red’s childhood friend and Prof. Oak’s grandson Green is also given the same job.
 
We follow Red as he gets into battles and adventures with Blue (Green in the original Japanese game hence his wardrobe color) and Gym Leaders like Brock. There are also encounters with Team Rocket culminating with a fierce battle against Giovanni. But what adventures lie beyond that?

Now that's something I'm looking forward to. Hopefully we won't be seeing too much of Pikachu

Holy shit there doing this. That made my day, I hope it's a bit more mature and darker, the anime needs it.

Also this looks like before ash's time, wasn't that brock's dad shown?

Can't say I've ever seen Brock's dad. And it will definitely be more mature without Pikachu and Jessi&James.

I'm pretty sure he was shown in the original series. Didn't he take over as brock first left with ash?

Ash is getting too old. They're doing the same thing Disney does with its old stars,

Either way, I'm not sure if I'll be watching this again. After the Black/White series, I got unhooked from Pokemon episodes/movies.
I don't think I ever finished the Diamond/Pearl series, but that's mainly because I missed the episodes when they showed on Cartoon Network, back in the day.
