Pokemon BW2 Pre-Release Thread

Well, it's the Japanese box art, but we now can see what it looks much more clearly:

Looks pretty good if you ask me, although I'm still bugged a bit by the appearances of the Kyurem forms on the box since they still seem too much like fan art.

What do you think of the box art for the games?

Umm... I'd say there's better Fan-art out there than the art on those boxes... I'm slightly disappointed considering the rather stylised boxes the series has had recently.

Shouldn't they swap the dragons in the boxes to match their prequels? (Black version - White dragon, White version - Black dragon)

I've been wondering the same thing, actually. Is that the dragon form you get with each one? I thought I would be buying White 2 to go with my copy of White, but now I am not sure. I'll have to see what Pokemon comes with each before I decide.

Side note: I wonder if one copy will have the Moss Rock for Leafeon and the other will have a snowy route or glacier for Glaceon.

That looks pretty good. Actually I hope black gets the black one. That way I can have the white one in Black and the black one in Black 2 that way I don't have to trade and I can have the fire dragon that is my least favorite color and the electric dragon that is my favorite color. Yay.

You can already have both from the download event without having to trade at all.

I kinda hoped that Zekrom would be for White and Reshiram for Black. Then I would be able to get both Reshiram and Black City in addition to my White stuff..

You can already have both from the download event without having to trade at all.

But I can't do events because I don't have the game and by the time I get it, the event won't exist. So I would have had to trade.

I saw this and it clarified the rumors of it being for the 3DS which were WROOOOOONG. I knew it was gonna be for the DS. I'm kinda bummed that its not for the 3DS however but i'll wait my time for a 3D sprite Pokemon game on a mobile device. I know it'll come one day unless the world ends. Then that'd just suck.

Will be good with some pokemons from other regions to, but the boy charactter looks pretty horrible..

Wow...this...is far beyond my expectations, they actually completely revamped Unova! You've overdone yourself, Game Freak. I'm totally excited about this game so far!

The new player characters look awesome to me (especially the female character

), but I still prefer the old rivals. Looks like we finally have a Poison type gym leader (although she looks pretty insane), classic Pokemon are available before beating the game, including Metagross

...just surprising.

But why exactly is there a large area frozen, including Nuvema town and two gyms? But maybe that explains why there is a new starting town and two new gym leaders...oh well poor Cheren and Bianca frozen forever.

It shows us new areas, new battle field styles, every trainer has an animated sprite, two legendaries's signature moves, even...your rival talking to Team Rocket?

Good to see that Nntendo has upgraded the game pretty much. I don't really think it's Team Rocket, although if it is, that's wonderful!

Black and white kyurem are truly astounding.
I believe I know the moves they used.
Black kyurem used freeze shock while white kyurem used ice burn.
