The Delta Episode -- an entirely new story unseen in the original versions of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire -- has been revealed for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The Pokemon Company has also revealed fourteen additional legendary Pokemon coming to the 3DS remakes.
The Delta Episode explores the history of the Hoenn region, diving 3,000 years into the past to uncover the mysteries of Mega Evolution. The story introduces us to Zinnia, a new character "who bears a certain destiny," according to the games' official website. Players must travel around Hoenn to defend the region from an approaching asteroid. The story will culminate in a cosmic clash between, recently revealed, legendary Pokemon Mega Rayquaza and Deoxys.
In addition to the new story, fourteen more legendary Pokemon have been confirmed for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Cresselia, and Heatran. These Pokemon will only be available in Mirage spots, and are said to hold valuable items. It's noted that these Pokemon will vary based on which version of the game you're playing.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be available in North America and Australia on November 21, and in Europe on November 28.
