Some certainly are, whereas others are a bit annoyed at the price of the expansion pass in general.

Still, I'm personally fine with it. The fact you can get said Pokemon without the DLC via Pokemon Home or trading means those who just want the additional Pokemon aren't being left out in the cold here.

The expansion pack doesn't mean you need it to get the extra Pokemon.

You can either transfer the Pokemon to your game via Pokemon Home or trade like you normally did to complete your Pokedex via online. You don't need to pay for anything, except maybe Pokemon Home unless you trade through a friend.

The extra content is optional. It's either you want it or not. Just like any other expansion pack offered for any other game.

Ignorant people just want to cry because some big guy complained and now they're singing to the music like sheep.
