A new Pokémon X/Y online battle exploit called "Battle Analyser" is ruining online play by intercepting data. This is not good. This is not good at all.

As pointed out by NeoGAF forum member UltimateIke, here's how the exploit program works: A PC is used as a wireless hotspot to intercept online data, scanning an opponent's entire party of Pocket Monsters and even showing the moves the opponent uses in battle.

This exploit apparently affects all online battles (well, those against players you don't know or trust) and is the equivalent of seeing another player's hand in a round of poker. In short, it takes all the strategy out of the game's online component, giving cheaters a brutally unfair advantage.

more here

So they know all your moves, that don't mean you should be beaten.

Wow I heard about this, it does quite suck because different Pokemon actually do have a variety of sets and this can tell you about their items, ivs, etc. god instacheck was enough and this is just awful.

I'm cool with Instacheck because there are hundreds of scammers on the Internet saying they got a perfect 6 IV Pikachu when they really have junk. I've been ripped off by these people when trading. Thank god for the scammers list. You only get one friend code and you'll be on the Hall of Shame if you scam.

Btw, Instacheck is too much drama to set up hence the reason why I never use it, so yeah.

Battle Analyser on the other hand is just wrong and @DS they'll be able to predict better when fighting over Wi-Fi, giving them a higher chance at winning.

I don't think the Battle Analyser will have much of an effect. They will know what moves you have, but its no different from now where most people use common moves. I think what makes a player good is knowing what your opponent will expect, and use a different move.

Turns out the Battle Analyser shows you exactly what move your opponent will make (in addition to the details of a Pokemon - EV spread, ability, etc). That means you can switch to another Pokemon knowing that you can wall an attack, then kill the opponent on the next turn without breaking a sweat.

This is a major problem.

so as your deciding your moves, if your opponent goes first BA will show their attack?

Yes, most likely from what I've heard.
