Don't know what to say, are kids spending hours in front of the PC looking at porn? Anyways, this should be the parents problem not the governments.

This only effects the UK but I think this is a good idea to prevent kids from accidentally stumbling upon porn. As long as they don't end up blocking half the internet/any other websites like they do in some schools.

Well, sometimes, kids that actually shouldn't know about porn (Think really little kids.) are exposed to it by innocent-looking URLs. For instance, whitehouse.com used to be a porn site IIRC.

However, the government itself is really the bigger issue. The USA is imposing sex ed on children in Kindergarten in many areas, now.

Yeah, i agree with that, also, some can use proxies, the situation was Declared in Tunisia as well, but since 2011, everything has been uncensored.

It is not a huge loss for kids since I bet kids are probably more into online gaming, social networking, and netflix these days.

There are always offline stores which sell Adult magazines and videos, and blockbuster movies like Titanic which has nudity in it. Plus, some Encyclopedias in libraries has nude images.

that's why parents need to keep an eye on their kids while they are online.

I think TV and DVDs these days have more Adult content easily accessible than online since kids like sharing info on which TV shows and movies have sexy scenes in them, and it is less shameful than saying you look at porn if you live in a conservative area. Plus, it is harder to keep an eye on TV unless you watch hours of TV with your kids.

I remember some classmates saying which actress looks hot in American Pie, or what foreign film has nudity.

Plus, I bet a lot of kids steal/borrow their adult family members Adult DVD collection, or their older siblings and cousins let them borrow movies with sexy scenes since a lot of kids have DVD players and TVs in their rooms.
