PlaySpan, a site that sell virtual goods from within virtual worlds, just netted $6.5 million in its first round of funding.
The crazy part is that the site ain’t even launched yet!
The REALLY CRAZY part is that the site is the creation of 12-year-old Arjun Mehta, a 6th grader.
PlaySpan started in the kid’s Silicon Valley garage in 2006 and incorporated Arjun’s earnings from selling online game items won from quests he fought while attending 5th grade at Challenger School in San Jose.
Well, isn’t that just special?
