One of the best gaming experiences I've had that changed the way I look at gaming was the Quest for Glory series circa 1990's. There were five of them in the series, starting in 1989 ending with the fifth in 1998. What made this game unique compared to most of the games in that era was that you could import your character from one game to the next. Which will extract your character's skills and wealth from the ending of the last game to the start of the next. Other games over the years also had this feature such as the Mass Effect series and Saints Row series.

My questions are:

1. Would you like to see more of this type of feature in games?
2. Why or why don't you want to see this.
3. What other games do you know that have such a feature?

I suppose it a good feature, but I can't say I remember playing any of the games you mentioned. I think the Broken Sword series also allowed you to keep some of your skills from one game to the next, but I'm not really sure if it's the same thing you're referring to.

Yes, that seems about right. I didn't know that the Broken Sword series were RP games. I always thought they were Adventure point-and-click. I will have to look into it some more. ^_^

This is a common feature in console rpgs, but a lot less common in PC rpgs.

On PC the only games I can think of are Witcher and Dragon Age (as well as mass effect which has already been mentioned). I think some of the old Ultima games may have also had this feature but it's been awhile since I've played them.

For console the following games allow you to import save data/characters/wealth/items/special content/choices/endings/characters/romance options/etc:

Suikoden
.Hack
Xenosaga
Fire Emblem
Golden Sun
Arc the Lad
Growlanser

Lots of others, I just can't think right now lol.
