Since that time, TUAW has discussed why this is so important to not only game developers, but Apple as a whole since a combination of an iOS device, a MFi controller and an Apple TV could easily make dedicated gaming consoles a thing of the past. Logitech MFi iPhone 5 game controller case looks pretty good for playing Action RPG, First person shooters, racing, and Action and Adventure games which usually play better for a controller instead of touch controls.
I think if you combine the iPhone 5 with a controller case, and use a TV connected with the Apple TV settop box, a lot of casual gamers, and retro gamers who mainly play classic and less graphically intensive games will game on the TV with Apple TV, and a iPhone, iPad or iPod touch attach to a controller.
Plus, the iMac, Macbook laptops, and other Apple computers also support Apple TV.
