It appears Sony's plan this holiday is going a little too well.
According to SCEA head boss Jack Tretton, the company has seen a massive spike in sales since the price cut announcement last month. "We are up about 300 percent over where we were pre-price drop," he told Reuters. "We are up significantly versus last year."
But perhaps the announcement came just a few months too early, as Tretton speculates that if sales continue to surge the way they are, there might not be many PlayStation 3 consoles left for this coming holiday.
"If things continue at this pace, it is conceivable that there will be product shortages."
