Humans were made to move around and do things, we were not born to sit in one spot for 20 hours without movement as this unfortunate gamer learned.

According to QQ (via Newsweek), a male in Zhejiang Province, didn’t take a break during a reported twenty-hour gaming session. When he tried to get up to go the restroom, he discovered he was unable to move from the waist down and a ambulance had to be called to carry him away.

20 hours sit and play game without other activity is wasting time, also why someone spent almost full one day into game

The other thing I suppose, did he eat at all and if so, did he even need to go to the bathroom in that 20 hour period?

Even when I played Breath of the Wild my longest play session was 13 or 14 hours. I don't think I could go 20 straight hours.

I promise I won't do it again. Not until the next Zelda game comes out in a few years. ;)

If you decide to do a game play for a day again, I would at least have a break every few hours or something, even 10 mins every hour or something.

For that matter, don't do anything that involves sitting in one spot for 20 hours, video games or otherwise. 20 hours on the couch watching TV or reading a book is probably about as 'healthy' (read, not very) as 20 hours playing a game is.

I'm pretty sure the recommended time of getting up is at least every 30 minutes to an hour. I know people at the office often get up and move around just to do this, I don't do it much myself (I do stand up at least every 2 hours) but I know I need to get up and look away from the screen more.

I wonder what type of a chair he was sitting in. I think if he moves his arms, neck, waist, head, and do deep breathing exercises, he maybe able to walk after 20 hours, and do not need to call an ambulance.

There are disabled and injured people who spend most of their time in a bed or sitting in a chair like a wheelchair for most of their day, and they don't need to call an ambulance to drive them to a hospital.

I think that there is a different between someone who can't walk at all and someone who can walk sitting down all day. Disabled people would know how to get around while others may not know how to get around. Plus I am sure that there is other medical issues that come into play.

I think the guy who sat in a chair for 20 hours for a gaming session does not have an active lifestyle, eat healthy food because he is likely suffering from a mental illness like anxiety or depression which can be one of the reasons he played games for 20 hours instead of getting medical treatment at a psychologist for his mental disorders. I think mental disorder treatment in China is very bad because there are many news stories of people in Asia being depressed and anxious, and don't get medical help for their mental illness. An example of poor mental treatment in China is Foxconn China Electronic Factory where workers jumped off the roof to kill themselves because of job cuts according to Report: Foxconn Worker Jumps From Factory Roof Amidst Job Cuts .

A lot of people in wheelchairs can live happy, active, and healthy lives where they play sports like basketball, and other sports in a wheelchair, and hangout with friends and family. Many people in a wheelchair still care about eating healthy food because they still care about their physical health. A person who lives on a bed in a nursing home, and hospital can usually only eat healthy food, and rarely feed patients unhealthy food like fried chicken, potato chips, and soda. Plus, there are nurses and doctors who remind patents to move their hands, head, and waist if they can move. If a patient don't listen and move their body, the doctor may make them see a psychologist to see if they have a mental disorder which make them not want to move.

kind of a different issue but I'm sure they have their own way of staying moving.

I think some disable people do deep breathing exercises where they move their chest when they deeply breathe. They also may have machines which help with massaging their muscles, so they don't need to physically move themselves to move if they can't move their body.

Some people broke every bone in their body, so they can't move. But, the hospital have ways to keep them alive, and healthy, so they have a higher chance of slowly recovering, and maybe moving again if their injuries are heal-able.

They may stay healthy but the no movement kills their muscles and makes them unable to move and require lengthy therapy once they get the cast off.

An electric wheelchair could be useful once their cast is off and not doing therapy . They can use one of their hands to control the electric wheelchair with a joystick.
