For some reason or another, I got a blue screen the other day on my not even one year old laptop, the error being a Bad Pool Caller. After some searching I found out I needed to manually check all my drivers (a good 50 of them X_X) and update them. Surprisingly I had a good dozen or so that needed to update and a few requiring restarts.

So yeah, not sure if it will happen to you but I suggest looking through your drivers on your PC and update them.

Updating drivers do seem to sometimes fix problems related to Windows Blue screen errors. But, occasionally poorly made new drivers can also make your computer have Blue screen errors.

I think one of the reasons for Chromebooks being popular with schools, and less tech savvy users is because the drivers get updated automatically when there is a new Chrome OS update which can be a good if the update fixes a driver problem. But, it maybe bad if the new auto-updated drivers cause problems like slow performance, and random freezing problems.

Most manufacturers offer tools that can help you keep your drivers up to date. For example, NVidia has GeForce Experience.
