The Puzzle Phone Compatible Standard (PPCS) is a non-profit organization supported by the community of developers, manufacturers, founding members and donors, its main goals are:
 
To Develop working hardware: as a reference for the industry.
 
To Develop working software: in a first stage it will be a Android OS fork ready-to-deploy in any hardware labelled as Puzzle Phone Compatible (PPC).
 
To Provide support and certification that warrants standard compliance to all the stakeholders: end users, developers and manufacturers.

Puzzle Phone does look like a pretty nice idea for making a phone where the user can easily replace the screen, phone parts, and the battery.
