Not sure if I want to use tech near cooking, specially since things get messy if you use flower or other things that can easily get all over the place.
According to the video it is splash proof, and water resistant.
I think this could be better then cook books since if you spilled eggs on a cook book, the book will smell like rotten eggs in a few days, but with this tablet, you can just wipe it off with a damp clothe.
A Screen protector, and case would help keep this tablet clean since if your case, and screen protector gets dirty, you can remove them to clean, and put the tablet back in the case, and screen protector when you clean them both.
Never cooked much have you, if you happen to spill oil you need to take care of it right away meaning you have to stop your cooking. And flour just gets everywhere, a protector won't do much for it.
There are full Water proof case which can protect an entire phone, or tablet from water, so most likely they can protect this tablet from oil and flour, and you can take out the tablet from the case, and put the case in warm soapy water for a few hours to get rid of the oil and floor.
