Bethesda has announced the dates for this year's QuakeCon, which will be free and open to the public. The event will take place from August 2 to 5 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
The show will feature the traditional bring-your-own-computer area, where gamers from around the world show up with their machines to participate in a giant LAN party. That'll still be the case at QuakeCon 2012, though you can expect new information about Bethesda's recent titles.
Last year we got an early look at Arkane's Dishonored, hands-on time with id Software's Rage, and hands-on time with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This year it's likely we'll get another look at Dishonored, Prey 2, and maybe even a look at what id's doing with Doom 4.
