Did anyone else check this one out, last season or the season before I think.
I really, really liked this anime. I had checked out the manga way back, but it wasn't nearly as good. The animation felt like it was at the top. It was just really super pretty, especially when it came to fight scenes. On top of that, I was a big fan of the romance aspect. Even though it had harem-esque elements, not many anime choose a girl so early on. So instead of deciding which girl he would choose, it ended up being about one girl and their progression throughout the story, and how the other female in love with him dealt with it.
I really loved the story-line too. I won't spoil too much about it, but the zero to hero story-line has always been one of my favorites. And it's not like he was even weak to start! (Spoiler Alert: He doesn't lose any battles)
And it's not like he was super OP by the story standards either. He was just a boy who trained and worked really hard, and that training beat anything else out. Even people who were just as talented but maybe didn't train just as hard as him.
Overall, it was just one of my favorite anime in recent memory, and I'm really glad I watched it. I even binged it through one sitting. I'm really pulling for a Season 2, and since the BD had good sales, I'm remaining hopeful.
