[font=tahoma, geneva, sans-serif]Does anybody else really miss Rare working with Nintendo? I know Rare have let themselves go a bit since working with Microsoft but I would love it if one day Rare would team up with Nintendo again and make Banjo Kazooie for the 3DS or WiiU. It would just be so amazing.[/font]​
 
I wouldn't mind another Donkey Kong, but then again, I quite like what Retro Studios did for that series. But yes, it would be rather nice if a little reunion happened!
 
Yeah, I miss Rare as well. It was definitely a good time when Banjo Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, GoldenEye and Perfect Dark were on Nintendo consoles, and they made the best attempts at Donkey Kong games to date. I mean, Returns is cool, but it doesn't quite live up to the SNES trilogy, does it?
 
I want Rare to come back to Nintendo as well. I miss those games so much. Now they work on kinect sports

It was the fact that they were great at making games until they lost a lot of the flexibility they had with Nintendo. We're not complaining saying there's no good games out there, we're saying there's no games that will ever come out again that were like the games Rare made.
 
Rare was really among the best of the best, back in the days...i dont know if they would still be able to make masterpieces today. I always thought of Retro Studios as a kind of new Rare...
Wasnt there a rumor going around lately of Nintendo purchasing Rare from Microsoft?

Why? So they can hog resources and delay games for years to come. I'm sorry Rare was awesome but Nintendo let them go for a reason. Retro right now is doing a far better job in my opinion.
 
Personally, I think Nintendo buying Rare could be a good thing. Not for the staff, but for the IPs which Microsoft probably wouldn't sell seperately to the company. Wouldn't you want Nintendo to own the Banjo Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark, etc series?
 
I would love to be able to see what Rare could do with Nintendo consoles these days. They could make games like that and so much more!
 
Why make great games like DK country and Goldeneye when you can make crappy Kinect games and get paid more?
