Rate New Super Mario Bros 2, compare it to Super Mario 3D Land!

Let me just say, for the record, that I haven't been this addicted to a game for many years.

NSMB2 is really one of the best games I have ever played! I couldn't believe at first how good it was, maybe because I didn't expect a whole lot after reading the early reviews.

But this might be the best Super Mario game since Super Mario World! And I no, I am not kidding. The level designs in this are spectacular, the coin collecting gets really addictive, and the secrets in every level are so plentiful you never tire of this game! And there are so many little subtle changes (coins magically appearing out of nowhere, the fun ghost houses, the coin block, the gold flower, etc.) that make it all worthwhile.

5 stars from me, and I prefer this game over SM3DL and NSMB, hands down!

3,5? I give that to most medicore third party games, but never to a Super Mario game. NSMB gets a 4 from me, SM3DL a 4,5.

[sub]I'm ever so slowly finishing SM3DL. I really dislike having to repeat levels over and over just to get a new one. (SMG, SMG 2 (Gave up on the green stars on that one, too boring) and right now I'm beating the regular overworld with luigi and need to do the special worlds later. I want to get NSMB2, and by that make my sister buy it with her birthday money and I'll mooch off it. All is going according to plan. I shall soon play it and judge it, and somewhat properly review it at a elementary grade level.

Yes, I did, I don't own it, but I 100%'d it, except getting 1,000,000 coins.
Just because it's Mario, it's not AWESOME OMFAG WOWOWOW.

I gave it a 3.5, yes, even if it is a Mario game and in some areas it improves over NSMB1 is don't have nothing thqt stands out to differ it from the other games in the "New" series. I already beat the game and have a 100% on it. I find it stupid to collect 1mill coinsjust for a wallpaper. Yes, SM3DL is better IMO than NSMB2 in way to many areas.

I prefer NSMB2 over SM3DL. I kind of hated SM3DL. Like it was fun to play, but I got bored of it after I beat it. I mean I just beat NSMB2 and I still have a lot to do. Like collect 1M coins. That'll keep me busy for at least 3 months.

I personally like NSMB2 more then 3D Land mainly because SM3DL didn't really feel like a 3D mario game. Granted, there were a few non-linear levels, but SM3DL just wasn't as satisfying to me as other Mario games. Don't get me wrong, I love 3D Land. NSMB2 is very well done, imo.
Also I voted for NSMB over NSMB2 mainly because I liked the more frequent appearance of the Mega mushroom in NSMB, and that NSMB had Download play compatibility. (Which was good seeing as my friends don't always purchase the same games as I do.)
