Rayman has been around for years and gone through a number of transformations, but his latest iteration takes him back to his 2D roots in a platformer that will support up for four players cooperatively. During Ubisoft's E3 press conference, we saw a quick demo of Rayman Origins featuring levels with cascading lava, blowing snow, and underwater adventures.
Ubisoft said it wants players who loved Rayman as kids to be able to relive those feelings with a new console. The coop play involves players bouncing off one another, as well as smacking each other, if they so desire. The funniest part of the demo involved Tetris-shaped blocks you had to use to traverse a massive pool of lava. That area even had Tetris music playing in the background.
Rayman Origins looks to be including throw-backs to a number of classic games, not just Rayman. We'll have more information on the game later in the show.

this is good news, I enjoy his old games.
