What do you think of it? Like the recent Mercedes car that made it into Mario Kart 8 as downloadable content?

And hey, let's not forget that interesting 'mess' that was some of the extra characters in Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing. That had a Nascar driver and Wreck It Ralph as playable in a Sega crossover title.

But what do you think? Should Nintendo (and other companies) do this more or less?

It's kinda interesting I guess. Could you imagine Wreck it Ralph in Smash? Or even Chuck Lidell? Possibly even Chuck Norris, which I could see happening before Chuck Lidell.

Ah yes, Danica Patrick (real person) being in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I don't think anything will top that.

(spoiler because image is big)

I guess it doesn't ruin anything, but it's definitely unnecessary.

That is actually really cool! At first I thought it was fame, kind of didn't look real but after confirming I actually would enjoy if more real life DLC would be implemented into video games or cross between video games. Like in a Dragon Ball Z game you could actually wear a Naruto costume for Goku. :p I would have loved seeing something like a Bugatti/Ferrari or something in this game. xD but it'd ruin it because then it wouldn't look like a real Mario Kart game u-u.

If more skins get added then i'd really be interested in buying this. :p

This seems like a great idea as long as they continue to release game related DLC as well. I don't think I would ever want to see this "real life" DLC replace the original form completely.

This has been done to death on PS3 and 360. Playstation Home and the 360's Avatar system aside (because both pretty much live off of those kinds of marketing ploys). Nintendo needs all the help they can get at the moment. If something seemingly small and otherwise insufficient can get them a few extra sales, then I say go for it.

i think it is a good idea,

just not as advertisements in game

remember in the xbox 360's early years they would

have advertisements on in game billboards etc?

that was too much,

i hope that this is different.

i know that nintendo will do good with the downloadable

content.
