Uploaded by Games Radar. Only shows the title screen and intro, but you've got to admit, it certainly shows how well the graphics have been updated, doesn't it?

What are your thoughts? I know, the games out at the moment, but oh well.

Wasn't this already posted? I just have this feeling like it was........... and a deeper feeling that you posted it. *Shifty eyes*

Well it's offical. The N64 version looks better than the 3DS version. It's mostly the bright colors. It takes away from the epicness of the game.

By that I mean the game no longer looks creepy. I mean the darkness is what made OoT scary. I bet anything that Redeads aren't as scary due to the brightness. Heck I bet the Shadow Temple looks like the happiest place in Hyrule. Even the bottom of the well would look happy. That's the problem with the brighter colors. It takes all the creepiness from the game.

The overworld was never intended to look creepy. Only places like the Shadow Temple, the Bottom of The Well, and castle town in the future are meant to look creepy. And they still do. Shadow Temple is still very creepy, and redeads even more-so. Being able to see them more clearly does not make them any less scary.

Really so you're saying something you can isn't scarier than something you can?

So you're saying that this...

ReDead_(Ocarina_of_Time).png

Is just as scary as this...

Well I was going to have a picture of it dark with a redead, but I couldn't find one, but you get the picture.

Also WW proves that if it's bright, it's not scary.

Take the same picture of the redead and put it against this.

ReDead_(The_Wind_Waker).png

See WW is brighter than OoT, it has redeads, but they're not scary. Why? Because the brightness changes the effects of Redeads making them less scary.

That logic is so twisted I don't even know where to start...
In case you hadn't noticed, the redeads in Wind Waker had a completely different design; you cannot compare them on the basis of 'brightness' alone.
Besides, they not much brighter in Ocarina of Time 3D than they are in the original (have you even taken a good look at any yet?), and more importantly their appearance has been redesigned. They now look more like their concept art, with visible teeth, much more prominent bones, and they are skinnier, all of which makes them more scary.

Yeah, the entire new graphics are based around the concept art. Just because the game isn't as dark as before, doesn't mean it looks worse than the N64 version. Higher poly count, crisper textures, higher framerate, I guess they all mean nothing to you. If you wanna play a game that has dark colors, but doesn't have any other things, then play Pong. This is how the game was intended to look, and it looks better than the N64 version by a whole lot.

I'm not saying it looks worse. It does make the game look nicer, but what I'm saying is that it just takes away from the game.

Ok. Where did I say it looks worse? I say the N64 version looks better. I never said the 3DS version looked bad though. I'm just saying it takes away from the creepiness the game once had. Just as long as they don't ruin Majora's Mask I don't really care.

Yes, but you're making it sound like I say it's bad. I'm not saying it's bad though. It's just not as good.

It's better. How is

worse looking than

It looks like it's actually a normal day in the 3DS version, and it looks like it's about to rain in the N64 version. C'mon, Kokiri Forest isn't supposed to be some dark and evil, scary place. And my guess is that you haven't really seen the game much beyond that, so you don't know if it's rightly colored where it's supposed to be. (Which it is.)

In what way? Elaborate, because it looks like a fairly normal face to me. Certainly much better than his N64 one.

What, when you run do you have some kind of weird funky face, YLA? At least it's not always angry-looking like N64 Link.
