Recent downtime

Hello all GF members, as you may have noticed, we were down for over 12 hours this past day.

So what happened was, the host was doing a server transfer yesterday but said it was live meaning it shouldn't have affected us, well with my luck the whole forum went down. The problem that happened was this:

The sqllite extension not loading correctly. The allowed memory size for php files also needed adjusting after we fixed the sqlite issue. We are manually checking every site on the server site by site to ensure there are no other issues remaining.

So right now everything should be fine. Let me know of any errors here, in the error board or PM me. I appoglize for the downtime and unable to inform you all.

Yeah we do apologize. The problem here was over the 2 year period we were on the old server we made literally 100's of small adjustments and installs here and there. Secondly the old server also had a "custom" install of cPanel that was supposedly better but was a headache to manage at times (another reason for the move). So all in all no matter how much we prepared there were still issues to be solved after the transfer. We are now in a proper cPanel/Linux environment and also in a position to do further upgrades exactly where we are (No more transfers). The communities we host are important to us (me especially) which is why I wanted to write this in person for you all. Also your admin made the process of tracking this down in the end a bit easier by letting me know the specifics of the problem here which would have also effected other sites. Well anyway have fun all and just know we work hard in the background to help your admins keep your communities up and running

Thanks for letting us know, I wasn't on when the site was down so I didn't notice. All that matters is that the site is back up.

Lol one of my new threads had also disappeared, probably deleted, so I thought it might be cause of that

It most likely ended up on the old server, so it didn't get deleted just didn't come over with the site. So feel free to post it again.
