Recent Status Updates side block

Not sure if this has been brought up, but personally I feel the "Recent Status Updates" on the side of the home page seems pretty useless, unless you're a bot or ad spammer. They're hardly used by members, it seems. An ideal replacement if it's available, is a "Recent Posts" block. you have one for Recent Topics, so right below it you would have a block showing the latest replies to topics.
