Indie cyberpunk platformer and day one Xbox Game Pass game Replaced has been delayed to 2024.
Developer Sad Cat Studios has officially delayed the game to 2024. According to the company’s post on the official Steam page for Replaced, the team decided to postpone the launch to finish creating and polishing the content. The devs affirmed that “game development is hard,” and that the expectations of the community are big, so they don’t want to disappoint fans by rushing it. They also reaffirmed that they understand the scope of what they are creating, despite the previous delays Replaced faced over the years. One example of difficulty given by the devs includes the fact that the title’s main character has over 500 hand-painted animations for platforming segments.
Replaced will be available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2024.
