Feel like contributing to the site by offering some simple skills that you're all sure to have? Well, it's really easy!

So as you can see, we have a great banner. Lots of characters, but obviously, we're missing a few key players. I would make them myself, but I simply don't have all the time to source out an image, resize it, make any tweaks such as transparency and then get it ready to upload.

But... I'm sure there are heaps of members here willing to lend a hand. If you do, you'll receive an "Enrolment Award" (which I'll soon change to be given to members who help out N3DSC through various activities).

If you're interested, just post here saying so. If I get a few members willing to help, I'll send out a mass PM with instructions. I'll probably only outsource this task to about three members max (but if I get a total of four, I'd let all four go. If I get ten, I'll probably limit to three or so). So yeah, if you really want to help, say so and I'll count you as a priority. If you're willing to help if nobody else is, say that and I'll count you as a volunteer, but those who really want to do it will be considered before you (if that makes sense).

Just to make it clear, if you accept this job, your tasks will include:
 • Finding images of characters (official renders that are suitable for use in the banner)
 • Resizing them to a set size so that they'll display properly
 • Optimising them so that they're file size isn't huge
 • Naming them correctly according to set naming conventions

EDIT: The Enrolment Award has now been replaced by the N3DSC Helper Award! If you want one of these, just stay on the look out for any other tasks we might have.

I'll do it if no-one else can. Computer imagery isn't really my thing, but I've downloaded some neat software which shouldn't make it difficult.

That reminds, I should outline that by doing the job, these will be your main jobs:
 • Finding images of characters (official renders that are suitable for use in the banner)
 • Resizing them to a set size so that they'll display properly
 • Optimising them so that they're file size isn't huge
 • Naming them correctly according to set naming conventions

-What's the suitable size?
-Naming conventions? Please explain.

I'll give everybody the exact details once I've picked out the people for the job, so don't worry about details for now. Just know that you'll have to be resizing images to specific dimensions.

As for naming conventions, it just means making the filename of the image suit to a set standard that is currently being used (so we don't have a whole bunch of different images, each with unique different styles of filenames, e.g. the use of underscores, hypens, spaces, etc.)

But yeah, nobody actually start doing any work until I send a PM to you after choosingyou!

Well, I think I've got enough people now, so entries are closed! I'll send a PM containing all o' the information soon.

I might be able to get my brother to 3D render some things for you guys.
but he is a professional, so It would cost.
but he does it for some pretty big artists like skrillex. (the music videos)

I don't think we need anything professional, this topic was really just for nabbing game artwork from the top of the banner. Although that sounds really cool.

Did you get my PM with the link?
If not here

All I did was add a luigi to the PNG.
didn't take to long on it, so if that works for you let me know and I'll do some more tomorrow.

Darn it, I thought I replied to that. I think a one character limit for the banner is what we're aiming for. And right now I'm not sure what other characters to add to the banner, apart from the Animal Crossing Boy and Girl characters. If you want to do those, just make sure the size of the PNG is 130px wide by 110px high.

By one character you mean from one game?

And do you want separate PNG'S. Or one frame?

Oh yeah I can do that no problem. You let me know who you want and I'll get them to ya.
