Has anyone managed to get their hands on the new remake? If so, what do you think of it so far? Is it as good as or better than RE2?

I'm looking to purchase it but want to see what others make of it first :)
 
Not as good as the RE2 remake but in general they probably have worse source material since RE2 is considered the best title in the series by most. Played most of it so far, it’s short and diverges from the original a fair amount. But I’m still enjoying it, but maybe would wait until it’s a little cheaper.

Heard rumours they’re making a RE8 in first person with Ethan again but delving into hypnosis and that kinda stuff. Sounds somewhat interesting.
Not sure I care too much for another remake. We have a version of everything on PS4 that’s a main series game. Maybe we could have a remake of CV but we do have the PS2 game on PS4.
