Today at their PlayStation E3 Media Conference, Sony announced the release of a special PlayStation Move Sharpshooter Bundle for Resistance 3. The bundle accompanies the launch of Insomniac's third game in the Resistance franchise on its September 6 release date. The bundle includes a PS Eye, a Move controller, a Navigation controller, and a copy of the game for $150. The strategy to drive up adoption of the PlayStation Move is in line with the one used with the release of Socom 4 earlier this year.

The company also showed off brand new gameplay footage of the Sci-Fi epic which is both Move and 3D compatible.

They're just doing their best to make sure we have Move aren't they?

They put out that Killzone 3 bundle, then the Socom 4 bundle, now the Resistance 3 bundle. Don't get me wrong, I want them to do well. It's just it makes me laugh to see how relentlessly they're driving the point that move is for the hardcore just as much as the casual.

Seems that way, doesn't it?

Honestly, I wasn't impressed with Resistance 3. The game had a few cool attacks but the one major flaw that I noticed and I consider a big no-no was the lack of recoil. Maybe the game is incomplete but if it isn't then I can't stand the fact that recoil is missing.

Well it is understandable they want to sell Move isn't? It probably cost them millions to develop and they need it to do well otherwise they could very well see some bad years ahead. While I don't feel Move has enough games where the motion control feels like an integrated feature to warrant getting it but If Sony continue to push Move maybe they will be able to convince me.

But Resistance has always been light on recoil. The guns have recoil. but it's not really noticeable. But people get so caught up in the sci fi element of the game that nobody realizes it like you do.

A good storyline reason for not having much recoil is that Joe Capelli is the last of the sentinels. AKA a human enhanced with the chimera virus, so his physical strength is augmented. Thus he'd be able to hold the gun and keep it from swaying as much when fired compared to a normal human. So it makes sense that guns wouldn't have much recoil. Plus some of the guns are of Chimeran design, so they don't follow the same principles. (EX- the Auger for one... it shoots through walls.)

I prefer there not to be huge recoil though because it probably take more away than it would add (besides this isn't Modern Warfare or Killzone). The game isn't exactly going for realism anyway.

Still, I am definitely looking forward to this game. Probably not going to get the sharpshooter bundle (especially not if I get the Playstation TV bundle with Resistance 3 instead.)

I agree with Virus.

It's tough to want the Sharpshooter bundle with that TV bundle out there. I know if I had the choice I'd go for that TV bundle no question.
