At tonight's Video Game Awards show, Sony and developer Insomniac Games revealed the release date for Resistance 3.
The game will ship on Sept. 6, 2011. Specific territories were not announced.
For the third game, players will take control of Joseph Capelli, who was discharged from the service after the events of Resistance 2. The trailer shown at the event included a blend of live-action and gameplay sequences.
