RIP Alan Rickman

British actor Alan Rickman who was 69, passed away today due to cancer. His known roles were terrorist Hans Gruber in 1988's Die Hard. High-profile parts like the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves followed, while roles like the character Jamie in Truly, Madly, Deeply showed moviegoers his versatility which his most memorable role was Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films.

This was very unexpected. I didn't know he had cancer. Of course, I know some actors can be very private about their life off camera. He was a very good actor who will be missed greatly.
