Sadly, my mom has passed away tonight, surrounded by friends and family. I know she is in a better place now because she is finally at peace after a week of no longer being herself.

Truly, life is unforgiving to the end...

Indeed, but this is slightly a blessing. My mother really fell hard on getting a decent job, so this might have been the better alt for her.
